Health Coaching with Sarah: your Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s:)

Q: Can health coaching help me to improve my health and wellbeing?
A: Yes – health coaching is a process driven and non-judgmental way to dig into the health areas you may have been avoiding – and finding new ways to tackle and overcome long-held issues. Clients often surprise themselves with their ideas and resilience, when given the opportunity and the right tools to succeed.

Q. Will Health Coaching actually hold me to account to make sure I actually make the health changes?
A: Yes – together, Sarah supports her health coaching clients to devise the best steps for them – to meet your goals. We work around your lifestyle, abilities and commitments to create and pursue plans that you’re excited to get on with! Accountability is important – Sarah can help you stay motivated.

Q. If I start health coaching and subsequently realise I need more detailed nutrition advice – is it possible to switch to nutritional therapy?
A: Its possible to make a switch or add on a nutritional therapy plan – this will all be discussed with you in your introductory session.  This will always be done carefully to ensure you aren’t over-committing. In some circumstances, Health Coaching may lay the foundations for starting a Nutritional Therapy programme in the future.

Q. Is Health Coaching instead of Nutritional Therapy, or Medical care?
A: No –  health coaching is a separate specialism. Health Coaching – like Nutritional Therapy – does not claim to treat any condition or person, nor does it replace medical care.

Health coaching – turning good intentions into healthy habits that last

Your health is individual, so your coaching should be too. The aim is NOT perfection!

It’s progress that you can actually sustain. Health coaching is more than just telling you what to eat. (Sarah can see you as a Nutritional Therapy client if specific nutrition advice is what you prefer).

Creating lasting change isn’t typically about having (ever-more!) willpower – that way lies exhaustion. It’s about understanding precisely what works for you as an individual, and having the right support to make it stick.
